John Cage is great reading for teenagers, too. Books like „Silence“ or „Empty Mind“ encourage thnking sideways. I like his writings very much, but only tiny bits of his music, I like the stories that are told when his music becomes part of a particular environment. Or installation. I normally don’t feel any excitement or silent pleasure when listening to his music. Most of it leaves me cold. I do find pleasure in the way you are taking care about his music. It’s a bit like listening to a jukebox for wonderful aliens.
